Week 3: I feel my core getting stronger as I am now able to hold a plank for 1 min 15 seconds. When I poke my abs, I can actually feel how hard they are getting. Yay! As you may know, abs are not created by continuous planking or crunches but actually in the kitchen. So this week I became more aware of what I was eating. Like I always say, making small changes to your fitness routine can jump start further changes.
Week 2: Sadly I do not have those rock hard abs yet but I can feel the burn after each plank session. This week I added an extra challenge to switch between the two types of planks (see images below). So far I am liking the high plank better. I’ve also added more co-workers into the plank challenge and it is way more entertaining with a larger group. Looking forward to seeing how my body reacts to week 3 🙂
Week 1: The first few days were an eye opener into how out of shape my core is. I found the hardest part of planking for a 1 min- besides stalking my stopwatch waiting for it to tell me I can stop- was remembering to maintain my breathing. It’s already Tuesday into week two and I hope I can stop shaking with 15 secs to go.

Day 1 Oct 3, 2016- Why is a minute so long!? But my ads feel strong. Now I can eat a donut because that’s how fitness works… right?
I CHALLENGE YOU TO A DUEL… jk but dueling is more fun than planking haha
For the month of October, I challenge you to plank for either 30 seconds, 45 seconds or 1 minute (depending on your fitness level) every day. To help you from falling off the bandwagon, set a reminder in your calendar or alarm for the same time each day. If you don’t want to feel alone, the Cubii team will be planking at 11:30am CT. Challenge your co-workers, significant other, family and friends. After all, fitness is more fun when you do it as a group 🙂
